02 Mar March 2012 Newsletter
March is in like a lion – and you’ll find a reason to celebrate every day at SqWires. It’s the month of daffodils (we’ve planted daffodils and tulips in pots and along edges here at SqWires), St. Patrick’s Day, and March Madness. If you’re in the neighborhood for roundball tournaments and parades, stop in for a quick bite or liesurely drink and dining by the fire.
Its Oyster month – and you’re invited to SqWires 9th annual Oyster and Stout Fest Thursday March 8 to enjoy our buffet of Oysters 4 Ways. Oysters are low in fat, high in protein with nutrients including zinc and sources of several minerals. So yummy and good for you.
March is National Nutrition Month – so get your plate in shape on Tuesdays with SqWires SqWare Plates – nutritious and delicious small plates for $5 each.
It’s the birthday month of Dr. Seuss and we might not serve green eggs and ham, but we have some of the tastiest menu items to tempt even the choosiest of kids to clean their plates.
SqWires March Weeknight Happy Hours and Wednesday half price bottle of wine with your entree are a way to stretch your dollar and treat yourself to drinks and appetizers at affordable prices. Don’t forget Friday night happy hours with $1 oysters and steamed shrimp.
If you march to the beat of a different drum, come on in for some St. Louis sounds Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday. This month we feature Mayor Taylor, Tom Hall, Falling Martins, Eric Forman Duo, Monica Casey, Dawn Weber Duo, Margaret Bianchetta Duo, Bill Murphy, Bumblebee Bob Kamowski, Rob Row Duo, Curt Landes, Brian Curran Duo, Hugh “Peanuts” Whalum, Big Bamou.
What do the March winds bring? Why Easter of course. Make your reservation for our Sunday Holiday Brunch Buffet April 8 in the Annex with omelet station, carving station, seafood display and housemade desserts plus all your brunch buffet favorites; or enjoy the restaurant ala carte brunch with special holiday menu items.
