28 Feb MARCH NEWSLETTER
In March, Spring is hurrying it’s way toward us, urging those buds to – well – “spring up” out of the ground and out from the branches. We give the nearly-12-hour-daylight a little help by pushing the daylight hours into the evening with – you know it – daylight savings time. All that hurrying and pushing drives us a little “mad” – of course all of us in St. Louis are caught up in March Madness (GO SLU!). Add to it all St. Patrick’s Day, Easter, and Ag Day and we have to work double time to keep up with the celebrations.
We’re bringing freshly-harvested Pacific Northwest Oysters to you for our 10th Annual Oyster and Schlafly Stout Fest on Thursday March 7. Starting at 5:30pm you can feast on a buffet of BBQ Oysters, Fried Oysters, Oyster Stew and Mini Oyster Grinders plus Caesar salad and a glass of stout for $25. Individual Oysters on the Half Shell are $1.75 each. Live music by Mayor Taylor. Make your reservation right away.
Watching St. Louis University basketball? Join us here at SqWires for delicious, hearty and healthy dips and spreads on our appetizer platter. Heading to the St. Pat’s Day Parade Downtown? Stop in at SqWires for our temptingly tender corned beef and cabbbage. Celebrating “Ag Day”? We celebrate our bountiful food supply every day … so here’s to our list of local produce and product providers from the nearby family farms who inspire our seasonal menu. In March look for Ozark forest wild mushrooms, herbs, sprouts and shoots, free range chicken, grass fed beef, craft beers and Serendipity ice cream.
Sunday March 31, bring family and friends for SqWires Easter Champagne Brunch Buffet in the Annex. Tempting treats, attentive service, magical music, with complementary champagne – make it a part of your Easter tradition. Call for your reservations. Seatings are at 10am, 11:45am, and 1:30pm. And Easter Sunday Ala Carte Breakfast and Brunch in the Restaurant starts at 8am and is served until 3pm – reservations are recommended.
Every day at SqWires is special – so come enjoy Tuesday SqWare Plates to sample and share starters, side dishes, entrees and desserts $5 each. Wednesdays half price bottles of wine with entree. Thursdays taste the “old south” via Lafayette Square with family style fried chicken and steaming side dishes. Friday the freshest oysters and shrimp are just $1 each 5pm to 7pm. And Tuesday-Friday Happy Hours are here to please with drinks and appetizers specially priced.
Planning a special celebration or meeting? SqWires Annex and Front Room are the perfect settings for breakfast, lunch, dinner, cocktails, buffets or full service dining. Call to schedule and choose a menu that’s sure to please all the people all the time.
