28 Jun JULY NEWSLETTER
This July, declare your independence from everyday life. At SqWires, we close the restaurant July 1-5 to give staff a holiday and to freshen up everything for some serious summer sizzle.
We reopen Friday July 6 to a month of abundance and All American classics. With so many fruits and veggies ripe for picking, we’re brewing up gallons of tangy peach lemonade, baking pans full of Gramma Budde’s hot milk sponge cake to serve with berries and cream, and grilling heaps of just harvested squash and eggplant and carrots for salads and sandwiches and side dishes.
Kick off National Picnic Month and order up a mouth-watering-brown-bagful of delights from our kitchen to take to a Lafayette Square Saturday night concert in the park. And celebrate the Caesar Salad’s Birthday with the tastiest Caesar in the City here at SqWires – top it off with chicken or shrimp for some extra added yumminess.
Friday night happy hours start early at 3pm for the July 6 extended holiday happy hour – jumbo steamed shrimp and icy fresh oysters $1. It’s the start of SqWires Friday Night Summer Shrimp Boil with fresh corn on the cob, gulf shrimp, greens, corn muffin served family style or just for one.
New Brunch hours for Saturday and Sunday begin at 8am (since the sun is already waking you up at 5 am this summer). A great way to start your weekend days. Mimosa Bar with pineapple, orange, or cranberry juice to add to your fizzy serving of Sophia sparkling wine. Bloody Mary Bar with your chilled, aged bottle of SqWires own Bloody Mary recipe – you add your choice of stuffed olives, pickled veggies, celery, lime.
SqWare Plate Tuesdays feature summer specials fresh from the farm to the kitchen $5 each or 5 for $20 to share with the table.
Wednesday half price bottles of wine with your entree are perfect for summer girls night out or an evening with someone special. White Bordeaux is a tasty surprise.
What’s more American than BBQ? Thursday nights at SqWires we raise the flag for smokey, saucy, tasty treats: chicken, salmon, brats, burgers, pork, veggies – all grilled to perfection. Eat in, dine outside, take away. Guaranteed to please the most patriotic.
