DECEMBER NEWSLETTER

30 Nov DECEMBER NEWSLETTER

We are all aglow for the season! Our chefs are inspired by the holidays to create classic meals, amazing appetizers and festive cocktails. Share with your friends and family the magic of slowing down with a visit to SqWires and dining and drinks by the fire. We will be closed December 24th and 25th and will reopen on Saturday the 26th.

Start your season with a Victorian holiday celebration at the Lafayette Square Parlour Tour – Homes dressed up for visitors in their historic, traditional, and modern finery. Sunday December 13 10am-5pm. Tickets here at SqWires or at 314 772-5724.

Make your reservations for New Years Eve at SqWires. Dinner and music by Falling Martins at 9pm in the restaurant. Drinks and appetizers in the Front Room Lounge. All accompanied by a crackling fire for a warm and welcoming New Year. And for a special holiday treat we’ll prepare for you a New Years Day Brunch at 10am.

Mix and match marvelous mains, appetizers, sweets with Tuesday night SqWare Plates. They are perfect to share and savor $5 each or 5 for $20.

December celebrates Champagne Day. And on Wednesdays we offer half price bottle of wine with your entree. The brut rose Fleur sparkler is a celebration all its own.

We know you “go all out” for the entire season. On Thursday nights make things merry and bright with family style fried chicken dinner with all the sides – creamy whipped potatoes and gravy, old fashioned green beans, corn pudding, mac’n cheese, slaw, biscuits. You might even save room to celebrate Apple Pie Day and order our caramel apple pie with ice cream.

Start your weekend all wrapped up with a bow with oysters in high season. Come in Friday 5-7pm for icy cold fresh shucked oysters and chilled steamed shrimp. Just $1 each.

Happy Hours 4-7pm Tuesday thru Friday featuring great prices on beer, wine, appetizers. Give yourself a little treat before the big celebrations begin.

It’s a Christmas Morning worthy brunch every Saturday and Sunday at SqWires. Make a bee-line for the never-ending Bloody Mary and Mimosa Bar – a better way to “warm up” than a holiday sweater. And an invitation to brunch may be their favorite gift this season. 8am-3pm

What are the holidays without music – SqWires brings you the sounds of Mayor Taylor Thursday nights; Eric Lysaght, Tom Hall, Pierce Crask Friday nights; and Chris Swan, Bill Murphy, Curt Landes at Sunday Brunch.
