AUGUST NEWSLETTER

01 Aug AUGUST NEWSLETTER

Warning: A great month of eating ahead! August is traditionally the hottest month, full of well deserved getaways and staycations, picnics and parties. So SqWires has some hot and happening food for all your good eats celebrations.

National Neighborhood Night Out is August 7. Need a “Dish To Pass”? SqWires will whip up a yummy take away selection just for you and your celebration.

“National Lemonade Day” is this month and SqWires fresh peach lemonade and berry lemonades are the tangiest and tastiest and most refreshing (and the biggest, too – served in our quart jars!)

“Eat Outside Day” – our patio is the place for laid-back, enjoy-the-outdoors lunches and dinners. (And don’t forget the 3rd Thursday dine outside with your doggie evening – special treats onhand.)

“National Sandwich Month” is right at home here at SqWires. It’s the perfect time to try our grilled and chilled veggie; or our 12-hour-smoked brisket; or the gourmet grilled cheese; or chicken salad; or turkey reuben; and, of course, the grass-fed beef burger or spicy veggie burger. We’ll pack them up for a trek to the park, or a bike ride along the river.

And our favorite is “Eat Dessert First” month. We’ve added rich and irresistible flourless chocolate cake to join our chef’s daily choice bread pudding and deep dish apple pie.

Lift your spirits on Wednesdays with half-price bottles of wine with your lunch or dinner.

Tuesday SqWare Plates are half a dozen $5 delicious small plates from the kitchen. Always a surprise. Always a delight.

We “get our grill on” Thursday nights with juicy, smokey, sizzling BBQ on the patio. Invite family and friends to savor chicken, pork, ribs, veggies, fish during SqWires BBQ season. Eat In, Outside, or Take Away.

Friday night $1 chilled shrimp and icy oysters; plus family-style or single-serving shrimp boil with all the fixings are a great way to start the weekend.

Saturday and Sunday Brunch starts at 8am with melt in your mouth breakfast sandwiches; plus the Bloody Mary Bar and Mimosa Bar and farm-fresh-for-the-table dishes to gather round and celebrate flavors of the heartland.

Music, music, music Thursday, Friday, Saturday nights and Sunday Brunch – August sounds from Mayor Taylor, Tom Hall, Pierce Crask, Eric Forman Duo, Bill Murphy, Dawn Weber Duo, Curt Landes, Margaret Bianchetta, Rebecca Ryan, Bumblebee Bob Kamoski, Brian Curran Duo, Pennsylvania Slim.

Hurry on in before summer is gone.
