It’s the “Merry Month Of May”; the fountain is splashing in the Plaza for our outdoor diners, the neighborhood is in bloom; and things are “cookin’ good” at SqWires.

Our new spring menu is fresh from the garden:  “just cut” greens, colorful & crisp in salads; spinach lightly sauteed; and “do the ripe thing” berries exploding with flavor.  There’s something new every day – check our daily specials menu board and see the local growers who are providing the luscious produce.

Every Tuesday, come enjoy SqWires Square Plates:  Chef prepares special Tuesdays-only treats $5 each, 5 for $20.  When you just can’t make up your mind, choose them all – and share.

And there’s a reason we all love Wednesdays.  The work week is half over and your favorite bottle of wine is half price with your favorite entree.

May brings the best reasons to celebrate.  Join us for Mothers Day Blooming Brunch Buffet in the Annex and our special Sunday brunch menu in the restaurant.  Choose SqWires to celebrate those new beginnings with graduation lunches and dinners for the family.

On Thursday, May 20 5-8pm, the Chefs and Sommeliers of Lafayette Square invite you to “…And the Beat Goes On” food and wine tasting party at the Park Avenue Plaza.  The $15 per person fundraiser benefits the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department’s  4th District Lafayette Square Beat – funding new programs, initiatives and equipment to serve the comunity.  Officer Min’s Elbow Grease band plays and Jane Godfrey adds to the music mix.

BBQ Thursdays begin May 27 and the grillin’ & smokin’ will waft that irresistable fragrance at dinner time through the neighborhood all summer long.  Come on in, don’t miss it!

June 5 & 6 celebrate “City Life In Bloom” at Lafayette Square’s annual spring House & Garden Tour.  Stop in at SqWires for drinks and dining as you walk through the neighborhood visiting a dozen homes and gardens, the  antiques sale, the vintage baseball games, the Saturday night concert in the park.  Tickets available here or phone 772-5724.
